Join us for an inspiring luncheon celebrating the
power of education and mentorship to transform lives!
This unforgettable event will feature Erin Gruwell—renowned educator, founder of the Freedom Writers Foundation, and author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Freedom Writers Diary. Hear Erin’s powerful journey as a high school teacher who transformed the lives of at-risk students through hope and guidance.
We will also honor an outstanding student from Higher Sights, our college readiness and retention program, with the prestigious Joseph Pedott Youth Leadership Award, as well as a dedicated therapist who works with youth in SGA's programs.
This fundraiser and the paddle raise held during the event benefits the children, youth, and families that SGA serves, with programming that focuses on parenting, early childhood education, education supports, and workforce development.
Through its Cycle of Opportunity®, SGA Youth & Family Services makes real, sustainable change for the most underserved individuals and communities in Chicago, suburban Cook County, Lake County, and Will County.
If you would like to support SGA's work but are unable to attend the event, you may make a donation via our secure website, check in the mail, or stock. Donate and learn more at https://sga-youth.org/donate
